Beta 0.1.0-16 Release

Beta 0.1.0-16 Release

New Features

Conversation History

You can now view past conversations in the journal, so if you miss anything you can go back and read what was said.

New Dialogue UI

To better show who is speaking, the Dialogue UI now separates the player and the other character. It also now shows portraits for all characters. Note: Current portraits are a placeholder, new ones are being done up.

It also shows a cursor prompting the player to click on the dialogue window when they can proceed.

New Stage Gates

To standardise the prompts to progress through modules, new Stage Gates have been added to each level. They glow Red when the player cannot pass through, orange when the player has logged > 50% of the required journals, and green when they can proceed. Note: During testing these gates are set to require zero journal entries, this might cause problems with various quests if you "speed run" through the gates.

Character Stats UI

The player can now view their statistics in the journal, currently it's just their name, level and their "attributes". Other statistics like 'Journals Logged' and 'Nightmares Banished' will come soon.

New Music

New music can now be found in the tutorial and cave 🎵
